How much more bass do you want? If you do not want that much more just replace the stock speakers. Depending on how much you want to spend on a head unit there is a plethoria of good head units out there that sound better than the stock one does.

if your main music staple is techno...make sure your box (if you choose to get subwoofers) is NOT ported. this will give your beats a more crisp tone.

i'd recommend getting 10's. for techno you don't need super lows...just enough to bump with.

I put in an 8" amplified Bazooka bass tube. Well I love it..just enough rumble for me. I control the level with an Alpine H.U. although some people say they have blown there bazooka speaker.I don't know how because I've had mine for about 6yrs and it has a built in cut off.
Funny thing...I got when I lived in N.J. grin

bazooka tubes do put out good bass for the amount of surface area they have. but like i said earlier..i don't recommend it if you listen to mostly techno (or other mostly sharp, quick beat music).
