i read somewhere that there is such thing as street legal nitrous. is this true? btw i also read that about a 50 shot is the max for a stock engine without doing mods to the internal mechanics of the engine (ie. cams, pistons,etc.). for those of you that use it on the street how much do you have?

Gt can handle 50 no problem and even 75. GTS though I wouldn't recommend over 35.

Good way to put extra wear on your engine though. If you are gonna fuck up your engine, might as well get a turbo.

certain kits are legal...many or not. NOS (the company) makes 50-state legal nitrous kits that you can find more about by visiting nosnitrous.com [holley.com]

i'm sure that zex, nitrousxpress, and other brands have 50-state legal kits as well.

First off nitrous is not illegal. If you are looking for a good safe nitrous system I always suggest the Zex wet kit. It has jets for a 45hp shot, 55hp shot and 75hp shot...

I currently have a 75HP shot in mine and the extra boost is very noticible...

it varies state to state, but nitrous can be illegal. it must fit certain requirements to be street legal.

for those with WET systems...how do you hook it up. I know one guy had a custom fuel rail made for him.

technically, its not exactly dangerous.

but realistically...it will add wear to your engine at a much higher rate.

Yea N20 is a cheep way to add Hp, but, when ever something is cheep its usually not the best route to go. In my case a 45 shot is alright to use but remember it WILL take the life off your motor no matter what you use. My friend is an idiot and has too much $, 75 shot WILL harm your car sooner or later. everytime he juices it I wonder if well be callin for a wrecker to pick us up rofl

In most kits they provide a "T" bar attachment to connect to the fuel line before the rail begins. All you do is disconnect the line and insert the attachment. As for my wet kit, it was pieced to gether from the dry kit that was on my old mustang
