yes, but the difference in the celica is that "lift" isn't put into place until the 6 rpm range in the celica gts.

in the celica gt, there is no lift.

how can you own a gts and not know what lift is? haha. If you've hit lift you will know it.. that is unless your lift bolts are broken...

idk, i have an auto GTS and i usually dont rev that high but now that i know this ill have to pu it in the sportshift mode to try it out. btw does it work in all gears because it seems like if you try to get up to where lift is supposed to kick in in 1st, it seems like the engine is over revving. can this damage the engine with revs trying to get up to the lift point?

i have sportshift too, i have engaged lift in 3 gears but not fourth since by the time i hit lift in 4th iam going well over 100mph so i dunno in 4th gear(most likely it does) when you shift make sure its b4 redline or you will bounce ur needle and overrev, there is a split second delay from the time you press the button to when the car actual shifts so watch out. as far as damaging the engine just dont over do it or do it all the time as with any engine it will cause faster wear and tear and you can potentially damage the lift bolts(which is a bad thing-if it totally breaks off) with that said have fun experiencing lift and be safe & careful thumbsup thumbsup
