i'd def take a z4 over the celica.

that said, i'd def taking something else other than a z4 with the $$ i'd spend on the bmw.

a hardtop is not an option. both the 2.5i and 3.0i z4s come with an "easy to operate soft top" according to bmw.usa.com

I like z4's, but still would rather have a celica. Nothing against the Z4, performance wise eek. But I like the styling of the celica.

I jumped on a couple of guys up at school who were driving around in one. It must've been one of their dad's cause they wouldn't go. I've driven one also. I let it loose on a straight but didn't have the cash to throw it through the twisties. Very fun car to drive though. thumbsup

the Z4 has a "classy" style compared to the celica

Actually, a lot of people do feel that the S2000 out performs the Z4 with the 3.0 engine. I personally feel that the 3.0 Z4 is superior to the S2000, but thats just me.

The Z4's with the 2.5 engine are 184 HP, have a top speed of 146 mph, and weigh 3053 lbs. RWD and torque more than makes up for the weight, but you should still probably expect to see Celica GTS like performance from it in terms of accelleration.

Handling, on the other hand, is where the Z4 really shines. Its one of the best handling roadsters out there IMO.

i'd take a modded s2k any day over a z4. but imo, a stock s2k looks like a chic car. i just get a feminine feel from it.
