I bought an ingen cai last week and I took it to a local shop where they deal with aftermarket stuff. When I get there they say it will take like 30 minutes but end up taking about 2 1/2 hours angry. To top it off when they say it's done they show me that the plastic that goes to the ecu box doesn't reach. Thay tell me that it's fine like that but I don't know. What do you guys think confused?

yeah, install would take about 30 minutes - but removal of your old air box may take another 30 minutes if they had never removed one from the Celica before thumbsup

also, it may take additional time to do the install if the guy has other customers walking through his door or keeps getting distracted by other things happening in the shop that he's gotta focus attention to.

plus, there could be more time involved than he had anticipated because the intake needs to be installed and then assembled... tube gets placed and then cone is added, then tube gets attached - unlike most other vehicle intakes where everything gets assembled and then tube gets attached and you are done grin

It should be connected. If it isn't, you may get a check engine light.

mine wasn't connected at all for over 2 weeks...it wont hurt anything as long as you dont get water in there or let your car get really hot...best thing to do is cut the pipe, and make it fit asap
