i bought a neon stick from pep-boys and i wanted to know where people who have neon under thier dash mount it. like right under the steering column or up on the firewall. which one will give better light off and if i mount it on the firewall, how? i used tip ties to mount it under the steering column under the dash and it doesnt give off that great a light. i just dont know how to mount on firewall.
any help would be great. btw i have the same brand neon as in the install section so i want to know where the tube in those pics were mounted.

yes and no...
yes because you cannot drive with them on obviously and you cannot have emergency vehicle colors in a sense...

other than that, I think I am right.

I had 5 Purple neons in my Toyota 4runner, befor I got my Celica, and I used Zip Ties to hold them up. So I would say go with Zip Ties

that sounds right. here, if you are at a dead stop, you are allowed to have them. (red light, show, party). but if you are moving..then you have to have them off.

i think it all matters on what type of car it is on to say rice or not. its looks good on the show cars that have like 1000's of dollars but if you have like a stock civic with and underglow its definitley rice

in michigan you can drive w/ ur interior neons on, as long as the neon rods are not visible from the outside. mine are in the footwells and one in the trunk. i drive w/ them on all the time, and cops have verified that mine are ok. i also have blue underbodies and i drive w/ them on sometimes just to show off in like residential areas and freeways, esp. after i get done watching fnf or 2f2f. n e ways underbodies r illegal to drive w/ period. but i just wanted to share i guess the michgan law for interior neons. mine are bright, like super bright and cops pull up next to me and try to c inside the car just to check to c if they can bust me for the neons but they are below the dash so all you c is the bright glow inside my car. a definite head turner in my opinion. it would be even better, if had some lambo doors though, but that's another story.

I actually like both the interior and exterior neons, though I dont like to actually see the bar of light. I just like the effect of the 'glow'. thumbsup
