Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Help...Headlight keeps blowing.

K guys and gals here is the problem..

My passenger side..low beam keeps blowing..I have put 2 new mtecs in and they both blew. One lasted for about 15mins and the other a couple of hours.

Im gonna start pulling fuses tongiht..probably will replace the fuse to that light weather its blown or not. But what else can i do??

did you touch the bulb with your finger? if you did, you can blame it on your finger grease. you
re not supposed to touch them AT ALL. If you do, get a cup of soapy water dip the bulb itself in the water and wipe with a CLEAN tissue.

Check for open wires. You may have an open wire somwhere and it may be getting wet, or touching a ground or another wire. And also make sure you have the proper fuse in.

I am aware that the oil on your fingers will blow the blulbs...I usally wear latex gloves and didnt this time but I never touch the bulb on purpose. I handle it by the metal.

I guess im gonna be searching for wires.
