is it a manual? Turbo or Nitrous will def give you the highest gains. Smaller and cheaper stuff like a CAI, Kazuma exhaust is pretty good i hear, along with TRD exhaust. If its a stick you could get a short shifter, lightwight flywheel etc. grin

xs engineering makes a nice turbo, and the blitz supercharger is also very nice (also less problems than a turbo). both retail around $3,500.

gotta agree with breakinankles on the NOS, its relatively cheap (except that you have to keep buying it over and over again) but its some of the most hp you can get for the buck.

the trial header (about $400) can also give you about an extra 11 hp with even more if you add an aftermarket exhaust.

a shorshifter doesnt add any power, but it definately makes your shifts quicker...and thats just as good as horses and torque if you ask me.

XS kit runs for 4500. Although they are trying to get a group buy for like 4300 or 4400 shipped.

You need to know what kind of celica you have before we can suggest what turbos. Year and model.

he said in his opening post that he has an '01 gts

and my apologies on the supercharger/turbocharger pricing. both run at around $4,500..not $3,500.

Woops yah my fault.

If you plan on going with a turbo kit though a LSD upgrade would be ideal and definitly need a new clutch. I'm probably going with an XS kit myself this spring unless the Stafford kit turns out to be real nice. I'll know sometime after the new year when they release the info on the kit and the dyno runs.

Regardless wait until stafford kit is out to make a decision.

lastly the big deal for us is getting the power to the ground. SO if you go turbo make sure you have the money for a few other upgrades if you want to get the most out of the kit. Clutch, flywheel, lsd, and a good set of tires will all help this. Also to be safe a few hundred dollars for some gauges will be needed too.

def get gauges. besides the safety feature (most important) it'll help you "learn" your car.
