Well, I heard that some of the ebay no name headers can actually make you lose horsepower. I'd say you are taking a considerable risk. Besides, what's an extra $122 dollars when it comes to an important performance part for your car?

thats what they are claiming. remains to be seen if the retuned the ecu for those gains yet..or if they did a pure bolt-on for the header

well, in my opinion you can't go wrong with dc sports. they have a real good history of quality.

so does DC really make headers for the GTcelica, and if so would they be better than the hotshot headers, and how hard is it to install headers in a GT?

dc sports does make one for the gt. supposedly they make better power than the hotshots, but i havnt seen dynos to compare them yet. both companies are fine, although i still prefer dc sports.

the installation is bolt-on..but its not simple. i'd say more difficult than cai or exhaust, but much easier than turbo (which unless you are a mechanic you should not do).

i looked for an install guide but all they have is for the amss headers for the gts. you might want to check it out anyway though..it should be at least similar.

and if you're not certain..you can always go to an autoshop, ableit for a price.

give yourself a lot of time to do the install. be especially careful when removing the bolts that attach the headers to the block!!! i cant stress that enough. the bolts there are often not in the best shape and can strip easily. belive me, i stripped one of those bolts and it took a good 5-6 hours just to get the one bolt off. take your time and be prepaired to climb under your car about a million times thumbsup othere than that the install is fairly easy. the only thing besides the bolt that gave my trouble was removing the heatsheild and headers themselves. its not such a big space. also i took the valve cover off and didnt unbolt the engine cradle.

a kid told me that celicas handle like crap... i laughed

i don't think carb applies to you since you don't reside in california...it's basically an emissions thing. if it is carb legal then i want one bad.

So what is the difference between the "Hotshot"($350) and "TRD"($700) Headers?

if you go to dcsports web site they say the headers for the gt are under development so it's not bs they just haven't put them into production
