what the hell man, one of my friends says that i will break my celi gt engine, within a year if i dont give it better gas.. i use regular.. she says im not supposed tooo is that BS?

yes it is...a GT does not require more or less of what is required...87. thumbsup

in your GT, all you need is 87 octane. if you add 89 or 91 or higher, it won't make a difference. You won't break your motor. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

i think the only way you would need higher grades of gas is if you go with high comp. pistons...please correct me if i am mistaken.. confused

My dad told me to use 91 all the time...since it will perform better, Chevron, and Texaco...been using 91 ever since

i use super premium, because that is what the gas cap says, believe it or not higher octane means better burn = less gas used, so your car burns hotter for better performance and gets better gas mileage


i have never put in a lower octane so i dont know if there is a difference

87 in my gt and i always get cornered at shell by some guy that works there telling me about there new gas.

Using a higher octane number isn't bad,but it is a waste of money.

I use 95 in my GT, that is the lowest (cheapest, 5$ a gallon)I can get.

93 octane, once i had to put a little 91 octane in cause i was almost completely out of gas and the station didn't carry 93 octane and i could definitely feel a performance difference.

I started using the 83 octane lawnmower fuel a couple weeks ago. Once I got use to the stalls it was fine.
