in your GT, all you need is 87 octane. if you add 89 or 91 or higher, it won't make a difference. You won't break your motor. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

i think the only way you would need higher grades of gas is if you go with high comp. pistons...please correct me if i am mistaken.. confused

i use super premium, because that is what the gas cap says, believe it or not higher octane means better burn = less gas used, so your car burns hotter for better performance and gets better gas mileage

i have never put in a lower octane so i dont know if there is a difference

Using a higher octane number isn't bad,but it is a waste of money.

I use 95 in my GT, that is the lowest (cheapest, 5$ a gallon)I can get.

93 octane, once i had to put a little 91 octane in cause i was almost completely out of gas and the station didn't carry 93 octane and i could definitely feel a performance difference.

I started using the 83 octane lawnmower fuel a couple weeks ago. Once I got use to the stalls it was fine.
