There isn't any room for the RWD tranny in the 7th gen celica structure

Somebody is doing a AWD conversion so I don't think the tranny would be a problem.

Supra engine is heavier then our 2zz if I remember correctly. WHich would probably throw of the balance of our car. the 3SGTE engine is not to much heavier and is quite a strong engine. Especially for a car as ligh as the celica. So I don't think anybody would both putting in that engine. Too expensive when other engines are more available.

someone checked into it, and you would have to modify the firewall to ger it to fit, and as you know, the firewall is already REALLY tight

From what I understand the 2jz-gte is too large and weighs to much to be placed into the celica's engine bay as is. There would be serious changes to be made for this engine to fit not to mention it throwing off the vehicles balance. If you want to swap your motor, get a 3S-GTE. It's a 4 cylinder stock turbo motor.

Not sure about the 200. The IS300 has been done though already.

If you're talkinga bout the 3S-GE Beams motor then yes. It is a 4 cylinder w/about 200 crank hp.

The early 90's Celica All-Trac GT-4, it's turbo and AWD.

It also comes in the mkII MR2. There are 3 generations of the 3S-GTE in the MR2. The 3rd being 245 hp I believe.

Some one has already swapped the engine from an IS300 into their Celica? I've never heard of that before. The engine that comes in the IS300 is the 2JZ-GE engine, a.k.a the N/A Toyota Supra engine.

With enough money, you could swap anything into the Celica. How much are you willing to spend?
