it sure does. but for curiosity's sake i was wondering if it worked. my bet is is that iif it does work it doesn't work as well at the CAI just because the filter is still on diffrent locations...what do you guys think?

you could use that flex tubing they make for exhausts... that would look better.
it may be ghetto..but at least it's getting cold air to it...

would it really get cold air? wouldn't the temp. in the engine bay just heat the tubing to the engine bay temp? i was wondering if the air would actually flow that high up...i was thinking because since the CAI has the filter down there already that the gains would be more prominent...

I have something similar to that.

I bought 4" diameter plastic piping from homedepot and removed my fog lights. I then used the driver side fog light hole in the stock bumper for the opening of the piping and lead it to my injen cai filter. the pipe used was only like 1 foot long. It does feel a little more responsive during cold weather at speeds between 40-80 mph.

Would it be possible to do something like this for the front brakes? Better cooling under hard braking?

Yes it is, it would be called brake ducts. you can buy universal parts online by searching "brake duct" but I actually haven't gotten around to it yet.
