Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior vinyl?

Hey guys I got a quick question, If I get some vinyls for my car for the body. For example the strip on the front of the hood or side graphic kit or something like that. Would it hurt my body paint if i ever decide to take it off? Or can it be on for years and when i take it off it will still be ok?

the longer you leave it on the more it's going to effect the way the paint looks when you take it off.

Actually the vinyl is protecting the paint you covered so when you take it off after a period of time the surrounding paint may appear to have a line or different shade just from normal driving and fading/discoloration from the sun.

Done take this the wrong way though it takes a couple years for this to happen. Changing the vinyl every other year though probably won't see a big difference.

If you have a red car...change it ALOT!!...i had vinyl on my old car and it was red for about a year and it faded bad
