hey i just bought the trd rear valence from a member here and it is in great shape other than a little bit of chipping paint...is it possible to use touch up paint from the dealership and just paint in where it has stripped away or do you guys have a better idea? thumbsup

it depends on the size of the scratches.

I fixed a front 1/4 panel on a carbon blue GT that was scratched by a snow shovel last year using the Maguiers three step paint products (Cleaner, LOTS of polish and caranuba wax) and some thinned touch up paint (VERY small amounts of thinner)

I put the thinned paint into the sratch and then wiped away the excess and it looks as though nothing happened!

If you thin the paint, use a VERY small amount of paint because you don't want it to run. Apply the paint with a brush (don't contaiminant the original bottle with paint) and wipe it off after a few seconds.

Very easy!

If the scratches are real deep, you might want to get it done by a professional
