Don't know if this has been suggested before, but would there be a way to connect the throttle body intake to the hood scoop? A friend of mine said that it might be able to be done.

No, I'm saying that the hood scoop is already there, so why not hook something up to it to get some cooler air into the engine. Just wondering if it's possible. I'm not talking about adding anything else above the hood, just the correct parts to hook the throttle body up to the scoop.

Step 1. Remove the two clips holding down the plastic piece. Use a key or pen to push down the middle piece then lift up on the clip.

Step 2. The finished product should just look like the intake filter with no plastic obstructions in the way.

I made an air ram for my injen cai by removing my fog lights and using the driver side fog light position for an inlet for the ram.

iused this set up before for a quick race with a crx.but i went a step further and removed the toyota log,and used black air conditioning foam to block either side of the scoop(the air has only one place to go.up pass the top of the radiator support and into the intake opening.) i also cut some of the foam into the same shape as the left side of the plastic that was removed and used it to block any air from rushing pass the left side of the intake opening.most of the air that came up through the scoop had only one place to go straight into the intake opening.good increase when filter was removed also.
