I'm bidding on these off of Ebay, and was wondering how high I should go. Shipping is reasonable too.
Anyone know what they retail for?

WW makes the trd skirts, just like the K&N and TRD air filters are exactly the same. The difference? TRD charges a little more deal

Ah, thanks. Didn't know about that. Are their side skirts the only part of their kit that's the same as TRD's?
Also, anyone have a good link to pics of all or some of the kits that you can install on a Celica? I've been searching this site and google to no avail. Thanks. thumbsup

This statement is so wrong and missleading. WW skirts are not the same as TRD, they are a similar copy, but not the same. There are some obvious differences and I can easily tell the difference.

Really? Here they are side by side, can you really tell a big difference?

I can tell the difference...

ww: the curves on the back of the side skirt are more vertical

trd: the curves on the back of the side skirt flatten toward the back of the car

If you think that the miniscule differences between the two are worth more money, and you want to pay more money for the trd, more power to you!

My point is that they are EXTREMELY similar (to the point of being virtually indistinguishable), and considering that ww is known for high quality and perfect fitment, I think ww is the way to go. thumbsup

Similar is a much better description then "exactly the same" or "WW makes TRD skirts".

And some prove to back it up. [imagestation.com]

Correct me if I am wrong on this one, but genuine TRD kit comes pre-painted and ready to install, were as the WW kit is unpainted, thus any savings you will have by buying WW will probably go into painting it. If it is not painted it is not TRD (only TRD Mechanical front end comes unpainted).

To me, they are exactly the same. As another example, I have a c-one style hoodscoop, but I challenge anyone to tell the difference unless they inspect it in detail, up-close. They are almost exact copies. Just as the ww sides are practically exact copies of the trd sides.

You stand corrected. They do NOT come pre-painted from TRD (I just got off the phone with my local toyota dealer's parts dept. wholesaler). Furthermore, they cost $460 eek

Now, where's that savings you were talking about? Cuz I can get the ww sides for $270 in the ecelicastore

My TRD rear valence which I bought from a local dealer came pre-painted and was put on my car an hour after purchase, but like I said I could be wrong.
C-one scoop example is not applicable in my opinion since you have an exact copy made from a mold of a C-one scoop. The WW kit is based on the TRD kit, not copied from it. There are many copies of TRD kit being sold, which would be difficult to tell apart from the real thing unless inspected closely. The only way to tell then (once painted) is a thin rubber moulding that is placed along the edges where the kit touches the body. This is available with genuine TRD kits only.

dont wanna get in the middle of this debate but my TRD wing wasnt pre-painted i dont think confused it was just grey.

Anyways, the thing that caught my attention was that thin rubber moulding yew were talking about cooltoy...that sounds like a really good idea. fer me its the smallest things that make up the overall quality of a product and i would definitely go fer the best one regardless of cost. Not like yew buy these thigns everyday or something...might as well go fer the best. my 2 cents thumbsup

Hey and that's great. If you want to pay more for "the little things" shall we say, that's up to you. In my opinion, that's not worth the great price difference, but we can agree to disagree wink
