I went lookin today for quotes to have my Motegi MR7's stripped and chrome plated. I went to 5 different rim shops and got prices around 200 a rim, and not to my suprise they all seg. that I just buy new rims. Does anyone know if thats ball park price not one of them would put anything in writing. I'm starting to believe that they just want to skip the plating idea and just buy from them? But that seems high, 200 for each?, if that was the case people wouldn't plate anything.

Just keep your wheels the way they are--no chrome thumbsdown

Or sell your rims and buy new--but if you are gonna get chrome get at least 18s thumbsup

I have 18" white Motegi MR7's right now and the paint is flaking off. It looks awful puke, I'd do white again but they are way too hard to keep clean, and if you put it off they end up getting stained and lookin even worse. The chrome looks real nice and is almost worry free.

have them powdercoated instead of chrome! many choices of colors to choose from... and cheaper than 200 a rim!

I dont consider 165 per rim much cheeper for powder coat, and whats the big deal w/ chrome rims its not like they look shitty? and spinners are retarted, why does everyone always compare the 2?
