and you think they just have millions of car parts laying around all over the place??? Get real, there are parts at different dealerships, but not all dealerships have every part to every car, just sitting in their back storage room.
What you are paying for, is the time and research for someone to look for and order a part that the consumer usually doesn't order - the piece you are looking to purchase is in extremely low demand and so the prices will be higher.
BTW - what you are looking for is a two-piece metal attachment, with a screw, all made of high quality forged metal and coated to protect from rust and manor scratch/scrapes... so yeah, can you still make 10 of these for under $8??? Then go for it
