dont worry about it, race headers means that you eliminate the cat but the hotshot headers keep the cat so there is nothing to worry about. perfecly legal thumbsup and a good mod for power thumbsup

I dunno about that one, the 4-2-1 Hotshot header for my escort eliminated my cat, I had to get an aftermarket one and relocate it downstream a bit.

Knowing how the manifold is positioned, I'm assuming the celica header is a shorty-style header, so it should be legal, then again, if the part is not CARB approved, you cannot legally run it in LA. None of the hotshot headers have CARB numbers, so you may want to do one of two things.

look for an alternative, such as the brash boy header (which may be just as illegal)...

or

install the hotshot, and swap back your factory manifold for smog inspections. watch your ass & you should be okay.

I live in Illinois, so it was not an issue for me.

BTW, hotshot makes great headers, the one for my escort made more power than the catback and Intake system combined. be sure you have a good catback though, otherwise the header will just make your car a bit louder.

just make sure that you are extra carefull not to strip a bolt. cause one of the bolts on the manifold that attached it to the block striped and it probably took my dad and me a good 4hrs to get off. very frustrating thumbsdown thumbsdown angry
