I drive 60 miles a day round trip (home/work) during rush hours. So needless to say, I spend a lot to time in my car. During rush hours, there are so much commercials. It is getting ridiculous. So, I am considering satelite radio. Does anyone have any experience with XM or Sirrus?

Well, I can tell you this. XM has commercials but Sirius doesn't. But sirius costs a few dollars more a month. A friend of mine has XM and he doesn't use it. He listens to CDs more than the radio. But it is very crisp when he listens to it.

Thanks, Chrissi. How about receivers? Are they pretty much comparable in terms of price. I seem to hear a lot about XM and not as much as Sirius. Is XM more popular or did they just do a better job advertising?

different companies go with different brands if you plan on getting a deck that is already satellite capable. Alpine and I believe Sony are XM compatible. I know that Kenwood is Sirius.

But they do have the separate satellite receivers that will work with any deck. I know that XM does, I never really paid much attention to the Sirius. ~Only cause I'm leaning towards an Alpine deck.

They are comparable in price. Down here in Florida, both are pretty popular. Sirius is advertised just as much as XM.

Hope that I helped you out a little cause reading through what I just wrote is confusing me!! spineyes
