I just ordered a DIN sized aluminum panel from "Ignited Performance" It's going to go in the empty spot under my current Clarion deck. It has spots for a push-button starter and three switches...should be pretty sweet but I was wondering if anyone else has this installed or has seen pictures anywhere. I've searched but it's a pretty new product I think. Either way I'll post pictures and install info once I get it.

why have an engine push button?
don't you have to stick the key in anyway?

You have to turn the key in the ignition twice, then push the button. Obviously this way the starter button isn't compromising security, it just looks cool as shit. You can still start your car the usual way.

i couldnt find any spot in celica to install it... couldn't you put it under your deck or is that spot already filled? i guess theoretically you could put it almost anywhere but i think it'll look best on the center console

if you dont use your cig lighter you can mount it right in that spot, it works great though a little reaching (short arms) or you could mount it by the gear box, if you have an auto (not sure how the gear box looks like in a manual) My friend has his key ignition in his saab right below (towards the back) behind his sifter. About the Prius having push start, when you first start moving its pretty much electric so the push button is just cosmetic.

If I didn't have to turn the key, there's no way in hell that thing would be going in my car! I don't need to mount the starter in the cig lighter hole..I'm getting this panel to put in the gaping hole under my deck. This is what it looks like all put together. It's just one of those little "cool" mods that serves no real purpose but will make me enjoy my Celica even more (if that's possible )
