i was wondering if broken lift bolts can cause your check engine light to come on.

i dont think it does thats why you have to physically check it

Most people never get a CEL including myself. I never got one and it took me almost 3 months to get this fixed. I was one of the first ones to have the problem that i know of. Hopefully now the dealers are more aware of this problem if yours breaks and your still under warrenty.
