I have a COI made by INJEN. It exits (or begins) behind the wheel well. This is bad because hydolock can occur. Injen's got a air bypass valve coming out next month; that may help, but not solve. I bought some sheet metal and made a super ghetto spash guard. It still gets wet, though. What should I do about this as I want the intake, but not hydrolock nor the ugliness. Plus, I want 19's but the splash guard is in the way! I love my car, but let's face it ya'll, there's not much simplicity to it! Also, does anyone know where a good aftermarket bodyshop near Atlanta, Georgia is? Thanks "ya'll!" -Rob phatt_boy@yahoo.com

I would'nt worry about it to much, I've had my Injen CAI for a long time and never hyrdroed. I have even driven in the rain with it, but if your that worried just take it off when it rains and get the rims even if you have to take your splash gaurd off.

ok first off it is very hard to hydrolock your car, basically your whole filter needs to be submerged, if you are very worried what i did is just duct tape the holes in the wheel well. the plastics facing the tire. you'll be fine

My COI is not seperated by anything from the tire to the filter. Just 4 inches of nothing. Are you guys sure it's cool to drive like that it the rain? I just don't wanna be out 5 grand for a new motor. My friend hydolocked his civic with his AEM COI. Thanx, Rob
