have a '03 gts auto and i just got my injen cai today. now the whole story is that i got just the intake pipe and filter installed. it couldnt be finished because i had to leave to do something else. so they just installed the pipe and filter without any of the hoses and all that other stuff. anyway, for some reason it feels like its going slower. i have to step on the gas a lot harder just to go as fast as i used to be able to do stepping on the gas gradually. its like driving with something really heavy, like you're reving the thing and its not going as fast. could it be because the hoses and some other stuff arent installed yet? something wrong with the intake? or is the intake just not installed correctly?

Of course your car is going to run like that. It is detremental to put the hoses in, im surprised a shop would let you drive off with out the hoses, there probably the easy things to install anyways. If you dont know how to do it look on this site for the install and plugg in the hoses, it sould'nt take you that long.

i've concluded that the people at the shop were total morons. so i was like screw it and decided to do it myself. i've connected all the red hoses that came with the intake. everything else seems to be connected except for these 3 thin black hoses. i think i heard they were vacumes or something. are they supposed to be connected somewhere? and are those big black plastic pipe things that are above the intake important?

yes make sure you put those black tubes back in there, you do have to cut them though so that they fit, thats why the red injen plastics come with em so you can make em fit. read the instructions for where the hoses go or go to the installs part of the site. put those hoses back in, there is also a little black nipple that you need to put on.
