when they machine your rotors they shave the rusted portion of your rotors off. take your car to any brake place and they should be able to do it for you.

Brake rotors rust... That's all there is to it. They are just bare metal for the pads to grab onto, as soon as the car is parked and water gets on them you will see rust. Then once driven again the brake pads will remove the rust. Not a big deal. i've heard of people buying new rotors and painting them (any color with caliper paint) and then once you use the brakes for the first time it rubs off the paint where the pads hit...looks pretty cool from what i hear, and since the pads always rub the rotor on the same place, you don't have to worry about the rust... Another alternative to Caliper Paint is using BBQ Paint and doing them BLACK https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_56923_0_collapsed_2__1.html

What Spaztikid and Isaac say is more than right. Everybody on every car has rust on their rotors unless you have a two piece aftermarket but there is still rust. That's just how brakes are. I let my Celica sit for 6 months and the rust killed my back rotors and put rust on my expensive wheels when I started driving my Celica again. $1000 for rotors?!?! I don't think so. I had all rotors replaced and pads. I think the front were 190 - 210 pads 42 - 50 and the same for the rear. Installation other than Toyota 150-160. That's stock. If you can do it yourself get an upgrade rotor and performance pads and save a bundle. I posted a couple days ago brakes are easy do it yourself - I wish I had!!!
