I have two 15 inch 800 watt 4 ohmm single voice coil. And i want to find an amp for these and i dont mind putting less then 800 watts in. I have been looking at 2 channel and mono channel bridgeable amps. but im not exactly sure what an amp is or what i should look for. All i know is i need one. I have been looking at a 1500 watt rockford fosgate 2 channel, that i would split to each sub for a 750 watt peak, Now what does peak and rms and constant mean, and why wouldnt i get 750 constant to either sub? I need anyinformation you can give me. Models and previous experience. Either post here, or IM me on aol aim @ celicaracer05 (same as my user name on this forum)

RMS wattage is the actual clean wattage being pumped into a speaker-this is a very important thing to look for in an amplifier. I'll try to get more info for you

Here's what I know. It sounds like you need a large amp to power the subs. Your best bet is a Class D mono amp. "D" is the class the amp is in in regards to it's efficiency(how well it makes power). Mono means the amp is meant to run as it is, not bridged. Usually the larger mono amps can push as much as 2000 watts and even more. Just keep in mind that a mono amp is not usually used for powering components, subs only. Anyhew...RMS refers to the continious power the speaker can handle while peak refers to the max power the speaker can handle before it starts to distort and sound like sh*t. If your subs are say 400 RMS and 800 Peak I would do an amp that pushes somewhere around 500 watts rms to each speaker. That way you are getting good volume out of the subs, but when a heavy bass note hits you don't get anywhere near your peak power of 800 watts and risk blowing the sub. Rockford Fosgate makes some powerful Class BD mono amps. 1501BD for examle is 750 watts @ 4 ohm and 1500 watts @2 ohm. Just match the 4 OHM (impedance) of your subs to this amp and you will be delivering 375 watts to each sub, bridge your subs and each will be getting 750 watts @2 ohm. Hope this helps, and hopefully I'm not incorrect on any of the above info, if I am please someone correct me.
