the only true cat-back aftermarket exhaust for the celica is the kazuma. Every other one includes the cat. If you get a custom one, you can really do whatever you want.

Hmm, no price listed. Is this exhaust currently available?

if you get a custom exhaust, meaning universal muffler, you run the chance of it rattling and sounding "ricey." That's one of the design factors the aftermarket companies look out for when designing their systems.

get a "HYBRID"!if you want performance and a true cat-back, get an aftermarket exhaust(most of them are really axle back systems)that has the look and the gains that you like, cut infront the resonator a few inches from the 2nd O2 sensor, open the pipe to fit INTO (not outside) a hi-flo 2.75 or 2.5 inch glass packed resonator, mandrel bend 2.5 inch ehaust piping(the end of which has to be opened for the end of the resonator to go "INTO") straight back to where the aftermaket exhaust is to be bolted, and flange it.(so the aftermarket exhaust can be unbolted whenever.i dont recomend changing the cat though(even though its good for a few horses!more than 1hp i can tell you that!)cause it might mess with the obd2 system! the cat on the celica is alright(thats why its so fat and short)when it comes to flow.
ps:this is the type of system i curently run on my car and it sounds good, but more so it has balls!

a lot of custom exhaust get that sound because it was not done right. close attention should be payed to the bends(mandrel bend are better)to the welds (mig or tig is better)dont butt join and weld,(it leaves welded material on the inside that causes exhaust gas turbulence across it,noise!)better to open the end of the pipe and fit the one coming from the front into it.make sure the fit is tight then mig weld.(less restriction than if the pipe coming from front went over the pipe going back) make sure the muffler is a"true straight through" not 2.5 inlet tip and perforated pipe is a 2"or even a 2.25"(if its 2.5" it must go all the way through as 2.5")at the muffler the welding rule still holds(from front going back the pipe goes into, not outside of the opening after it) another important fact for"strait pipers" there is a maximum length for a given size pipe before the sounds originating("exhaust pulses") higher up reaches resonance "natural vibrating frquency of the pipe itself" after which a resonator has to be put in!case in point: the trd kazuma, has a small resonator at the back!it wouldve been even more louder and the pipe vibration"exhaust pulses" would be greater without it.!
