Hey guys, I just orders an ALpine CDA-9815 and was wondering what else I need besides the mount. A friend said i should be able to splice into the factory wires but i want to double check.

just get a wire harness for your car, they should sell them at any car audio store, makes things a lot easier, all the wires match up to the color for most of them, makes an hour into about 20 minutes at most.

man i couldn't find a wiring harness anywhere for mine...had to have a friend do all the wires

Besides a harness kit you will also need a stereo mounting kit(under $20)

Ok, I'm gonna step in here and just say, don't do it. Take it to a store, have one of their senior guys do it, DO NOT try to do it yourself. The wiring for the stereo is just ungodly. Let them do it. I promise you will be happier with it.
