Just got it but I am debating on whether I should install it ot let my dad's dealer do it. I looked at the install section, looks pretty simple and clean, but I want someone's opinion. How hard is it to install? How long does it take? Are there any bad parts to it, such as things that are a b*tch to take on or off or something? And should I be able to install it myself or no?

Do it yourself, nothing should be too difficult. The install should only take about 45 minutes.

How do pop off the top piece? This is the first thing I want to know how to do without breaking or damaging anything even the slightest bit...
I have a carbon fiber trim, that doesn't affect anything does it?

I just installed mine today and it took about 1 hour. The only difficult thing is the push on lock washer. That is a bitch to get off other than that it is simple. Good luck and enjoy.
