What size of wheels do you guys recommend for auto-x? And what size and brand of tires do you recommend? And does any one know if slicks are allowed in auto-x? I'm gonna try to do some auto-x in the spring. Right now I'm thinking of getting some 17x7 that weigh 16-17lbs and they're only going to see the track, if that helps.

I think that 16s or 15s are your better bet. And I don't think you want to go with slicks either. I'm not too educated in the autox area, but I don't see why you would want slicks. There are some guys on here that do some autox that will be able to answer this question better though.

I'm also looking into auto-x, I think that 15 inchers will be better because you need to keep your RPM's high on the track, better exit speed.(i think) and uhh for tires i would go for Falken Azenis or Yokohama Parada Spec-2, something with side grip and sufficient load carrying capacity.

Hooiser makes auto-x slicks. They're awesome sticky tires I think that 16s or 15s are your better bet. And I don't think you want to go with slicks either. you can run slicks and you will be fast the down side is you will be put in a racing tire class and you'll prolly get yer ass kicked, As for wheel size I personally run Falken Azenis 245 45 17's. I give up a little to the guys runnin the 15's though.

I like my Kumho's, but they are more for performance on the road, rather than autox. They are Z rated!

If you want to start autoxing, I would suggest starting on the rims and tires you have on right now. Try it out and find the areas that you need to improve in.

Ok, definetely no slicks. I'm still stuck between 16's or 17's 'cuz I wanna get brembo or trd big brake kit. I wanna do some track racing too. But all of this info has really helped me out.
