To my knowledge HIDs are no longer available aftermarket per a Federal Law ...

Get MTECs, they are a lot cheaper and really bright white ... PIAA xtreme whites are also good.

You can get teh MTECs here grin

look up about CATZ. now becuase you can't buy HIDS they make somthing that is similar to HIDS but it has no ballast (spelling). . check it out though, i think it is like 1/2 the price or full HIDS as well ..

I have McCulloch hids 5300k...

The lower the color temp the whiter and brighter the hids will be. The whitest is 4000k, but the only problem is it will be a tad bit yellow. Mine (5300k) are pure white with a hint of blue. 6000k-7000k are probably the prettiest of all the hids, they are bright and have more color to them. And the 8000k has the most color but then again you lose the brightness, and you might as well get the mtecs instead.

How do you think these lights - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2439908240&category=33710 - will compare with the MTEC's?

They're the same wattage, but the color temperature is 4800K instead of 4350K. Also, they're filled with Xenon, not Krypton.

those will not be as bright as the mtecs, read my post above, the smaller the color temp the brighter the light is smile
