I've been thinking about putting a tach in my center console cubby hole. Has anyone else seen this before? What size of tach should I be looking for. I think it's a cool location because it's hidden unless you pop the lid and I don't store anything in there anyway. Any thoughts?

thats a cool idea, but the center console isnt really in your line of vison, so it might be kind of hard to see.
i would measure the deimensions of the hole and then find a tach that will fit and be movable without any dremeling.

I was thinking something like this... 3 3/8" should fit fine. It's not really where I'd be looking if I raced (but I don't) but it's something nice to look at when my clarion screen is down.

I LOVE the fourth one!!! Right now everything flows in my interior so I'm not sure I want a huge tach sitting on my dash. When I was measuring the storage compartment in the center console it didn't seem like it had as much room as I though it would. There's always the possibility of dremeling a circle in the hinged panel and putting the tach in there...I dunno, is anyone able to photochop a tach in the center of that panel??

there would be no point in putting it in the center console because it would be harder to see than the stock tach.
