I got a dash kit for my 03 celica for my single din pioneer deck. I hooked everything up right, but for I dont know how to put the kit together correctly. It came with other pieces and I don't know which ones are for my car and which ones aren't. But when I put the deck in the din slot, the deck falls right through. There is nothing holding it in the kit securely. Please help.
My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!

Those are the only 4 pieces that the celica uses in the kit?I understand where the back three pieces go that are in that kit, but i'm alittle confused on that front piece's location.

you will be left with extra parts... I think 2 extra parts There are a few parts left over from my first stereo install almost 3 years ago ... All you basically need is the head unit surround trim (for smaller systems) and the 'cd' box/large display trim... everything else is useless in the celica

Thats what I thought...But when I put my deck inside the kit, It isnt held securely...It so loose, that if falls back into the dash. I thought maybe one of those pieces was meant to hold it in place???

you have a cage for the head unit right? the cage slides over the body of the head unit so that it holds the head unit from falling through. the dash kit is there to mount the head unit(with the cage on) to the dash.
i dont know if that helps any.

Sorry, I wasnt very clear. The actually kit itself fits fine in my dash. What doesn't fit right is my pioneer deck in the actually kit. Its very loose and won't stay put.

hmm... do you have pics? ok.. here is a pic of a random cage, it's been put into the dash , its the shiny part with no head unit installed. and here it is with the head unit installed... if you do have a cage, make sure that you pry the small fingers up so that it can hold agianst the dash kit.

the hole on the kit is so bigger than the deck itself so the deck doesnt sit securely. I tried to take pics but my camera isnt downloading
