Carbon Fiber hood is very light... Factory stock hood is made from metal and is quite heavy eek

Has anyone been stopped for using a Carbon Fiber hood on the streets? As far as I know, they're illegal and only for show use but do cops actually enforce that?

there not illegal...but you should deffinetly get hood pins to hold them down because they might fly up while your driving

Has anyone's carbonfiber hood pop off without the hood pins?
Also I dont think cops would do anything about the carbonfiber hood. I've had cops ask me about it, but they where pretty cool about it.

your right and wrong, weight reduction will always help your car (unless your takin out your engine)but i forget what dan was saying but he said something like it wouldnt be equal weight and the car would start to kind of lift at the front at higher speeds

Yea weight reduction is always good. But your taking it off over the front tires and since the celi is a front wheel drive you may lose a little traction but you will gain some more power with that weight being off.
