Hi guys: Again Im looking for opinions. I'll buy a headunit soon, maybe this weekend, and I had two possible options. Pioneer DEH-P8500MP or Panasonic CQ-DFX983U. The Pioneer is kinda expensive, and I've heard the Panasonic lenses dont last long. Please post your opinions about these or any other headunits that you consider worth it. (looking for mp3, graphics, cool design)
thx...

Pioneer... I've had Pioneer Head units for over 5 years now (3 of which I still actually own, and still work). For my next deck, I'm going to the one you mentioned. RIght now I have the DEH-P7500MP. Its a damn fine deck, and about $100 cheaper then the deck your looking at. Only thing is its not a motorized face... oh well

def pioneer or alpine, that alpine cda-9815 is what i want, i have an earlier one, cda-8995 or something like that. alpine has a lot of options, such has time correction, bass focus to make the sound perfect for you. but for looks, i would definitely go with the pioneer.

I currently have the Pioneer DEH-P8500MP in my Celica. It's an awesome head unit and I wouldn't want anything other than that. But I'm actually thinking of putting a Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD in my car soon, still haven't decided yet. If I do get that, I'll be willing to sell you my DEH-P8500MP if you're interested. Until then, I would go for the Pioneer, it's an awesome deck. Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD [ futureshop.ca]
