how much can a muffler gain if you connect it to stock piping
and how much if you have full custom piping, what would be the difference, danx

it depends what kind of muffler your getting...why not but the whole exhuast system for sure of gaining hp thumbsup

my homie just gave me his obx muffler, why waste it, so i guess imma just use it until i save enough, i was just wondering how much gain i would get

stock piping...0,maybe 1-2hp i think ...its more of just for sound not sure though i remember it was asked b4 idunnoidunno

ok no no and no. im gonna have to disagree. a universal muffler with custom piping. WILL give you modest hp gain. provided that the universal muffler/piping is less restricting than our stock. which it most likely is. mufflers like apexi, hks, and other companies use the same mufflers on all their exhaust systems. so getting a universal apexi with custom piping would be nearly the same thing. you can't get a custom exhaust with a universal apexi muffler and tell me its only for looks and sound. and a cat back exaust might give you more hp. but there are no cat back exhausts for our celicas only way to have a cat back is go custom. i hope i helped a bit.

and i hope by stock piping you're NOT referring to keeping the stock muffler and adding another one (universal) at only the end.

nah haha i just got it done today, its not full custom piping, just after the cat i gto new piping installed with my obx muffler, soundz pretty deep not high pitched at all, ill try to get sound clips tho

sweet. you got piping made starting from the end of the cat? how much did it all cost you? so you got took out that resonator immediately after the cat as well?
