anyone done the TRD brake upgrade? i think those red calipers would looks tits on my red GTS but i'm wondering whether they give you any significant performance improvement over the stock brakes.


disabling me will result in loss of primary power.

ok back to the question, I haven't done it, but that upgrade will give you a HUGE improvement of stock because your going to a bigger rotor plus replacing the caliper with a multi-piston type instead of the stock single piston calipers.

I think $1900.00 from WCToyota, plus installation. I'd recommend getting it installed by your dealer, but if you know someone who could install them, go for it. thumbsup

It's not that hard. The hardest part would be to flush the brake fluid.

wow $1900 eh?? is that for a GTS (set of 4?) and do you guys know how it compares with the AEM big brakes..price wise and performance wise??

AEM makes big rotors, not calipers.

Stoptech makes the TRD big brake kit.

i thought AEM sold them as a package also (brakes and calipers)?? confused i could have swear i saw it in one of there catalogs
i found it they only sell the calipers for the front

Maybe for other cars, but not our 7th gen celica. They only make big rotors for our cars.
