well i got my trd rear brace in. it looks great in the trunk and i don't mind that it's not detachable because i don't need that much trunk space to begin with. the color i got was a very dark grey so it does look very nice. after i got my front apr brace installed i felt a diffrence. after i got my trd springs installed i felt an even bigger diffrence. but when i got my rear brace installed i felt very little diffrence. makes me think i should have invested in sways rather than the bar. i went to work via sepulveda today (road is nice and curvy) and felt no diffrence (or very little diffrence) at all...i dunno. i guess i was expecting too much since having the front brace installed made an impact on me then having the springs in gave it more umf...i figured having a rear bar would make it even better. oh well...looks like shocks and sways are next... thumbsup

once you put sways in the rear bar will have a greater roll in overall stabilization. grin

right now the rear isn't doing much with stock sways.

hey ct did you get it installed completly? i still haven't screwed in the 3rd point. i don't think you're supposed to notice a difference unless you cornering really hard. Like i never noticed a difference when i put on my springs, front strut bar, or rear strut bar, and my sways made only a small difference on turns. But recently i took the car to a parking lot and did some really hard turns and notice zero body roll, and a very solid feeling. I'm gonna try auto-x sometime and hope i can beat atleast one persons time.

Exactly, a strut bar will not make a difference for day in and day out driving, however, auto-x or other forms of harsh turning is where you'd notice the difference.

actually i retract my statement..lol! earlier i have said that i did not notice a diffrence...well a benz' and bmw 328 were going down sepulveda and in the twisties i caught up with them. i noticed when i drove it harder that the car did feel stiffer and there was less roll. it was funny because when i came to a stop they were looking at me smiling as if they couldn't belive a 17k car can do that. yeah i got it fully installed with the plastics in and everything. it looks really great in the trunk and now i know it performs well too. thumbsup

got it done for 60...but toyo dealers will charge you 200+ because they don't know what to do. brs was going to charge me only 30 but mike is pretty busy with sema thumbsup

serously if you have the tools you can do it yourself. i just didn't want to bother with the plastic cutting and i wouldn't pay more than 80 to get it done...

Do it yourself, just get a dremel tool or cutting knife, a drill and a rachet and you'll be fine, only takes a couple hours or so. I did mine myself, click the link in my sig to see it in one of the pics.

yeah the install was relativly easy just, bolting in and some drilling, I still have to drill mine in at the 3rd point, i never got the mounting hardware from the person i bought it from so i'll have to visit Home Depot this weekend. I left mine bare with out hte trunk plastics, i just like that stripped look! grin
