its a very very very short ram. its basically a small plastic pipe the is like 2 inches long. its curved toward the lower right (looking at the engine) wheel. the filter is faced horizontal, facing towards the front of the car. BTW the filter is bigger then most others.

i think that the injen is better simpley because it is made out of metal and not plastic, it comes in different colors, and the pipe is longer (longer pipe = better performance).

get the hotshot header and an injen shortram. thumbsup

I'm pretty sure that the SUS is going to out perform the injen due to the filter design.

The SUS is unique because it use a perforated stainless steel mesh while the Injen is the same paper style filtration found on all aftermarket intakes. The perf mesh allows for super un restrictive air flow at the expense of some filtering ability.

Pipe diameter and shape will affect the performance of the intake, but I don't think that length really comes into play much. Saying that the injen short ram will make more power because it's pipe is a little longer is probably inaccurate. I am very confident, however, that the SUS will make more power than the Injen due to the un restrictive filter design.

If you are going for a short ram, the SUS will probably out perform any thing else on the market. The only down side is the poor filtering quality.

i've read somewhere that the longer the intake runners are, the more low end torque. not the intake pipe.

how is the poor filtering quality affect the performance? or does the poor filtering quality matter?

why everybody chose Injen over Blitz if Blitz performs better than Injen like you just said?

can anybody clear this up for me? thx!!!

The poor filtering does not affect the performance level of the car. It may have an effect on the longevity of the engine because the stainless perf filter sucks up dirt that a K&N style filter would not.

This could be part of the reason that people choose the Injen short ram over the Blitz SUS short ram. The main reason is probably the cost. The Blitz is a lot more than the Injen because of the stainless steel filter and the fact that it is a JDM item that needs to be imported into the USA.

I have the Blitz SUS on my car. smile

you could mabe replace the filter with a size matched K&N, but then you might as well buy the K&N short ram.

BTW the SUS says its for the GTS only...
