These kits dont really say if its real or not, are these real "alumunimu" dask kits? or just replicas? I also saw on NOPI.com "Flex Metal Dash Kit" where they make a dask kit out of material you specify, has anyone done this before? good results?

don't buy it. I've bought something very similar. It sucks. It's so easy to get them messed up, and there's no way to reverse it.

Even if you do it correctly, personally i don't think it looks any good. I'd recommend paiting the console. I've started it few days ago, and it ain't that hard. I'm a first time painter, and they turned out pretty nice. (not as good as i wanted them to be, but more than a passing grade for a first timer.) All i need to do is add some clear coat on it.

do NOT buy these. these are just stickers as far as i know, and they're very easy to get messed up (dirts, air bubbles.. they don't even cover the whole area 100%)

anyway, that's my opinion.

Always a good point. I have done a install on a eclipse flex metal dash and it sucked ass. Its very hard to install the parts that curve, they just dont want to stay down. The dash got f'd up and we had to vinyl wrap it to fix it or pay $100 for a new OEM part. Out of a $150 kit we used maybe $100 of it. I would paint or vinyl wrap (I did vinyl), or at least get a Carbon Fiber dash kit I hear they bend easy.

I yes its worth it, do it yourself or a pro paint, both will look great. The cost to have it done by the pros it about the same as those $200 dash kits, maybe less. DIY is very cheap only like $3 a can for spray paint, duplicoat is a great brand.

obviously white is definately a good choice.

But if you are into CB or metalic theme, they can alway go with any colors.

If you like high contrast, you can also try blue, red, yellow.. whatever you know.. your car is white, it can go with pretty much any cool colors.

if you r a pro painter, u'll know what to do. But if not, then make sure you CLEAN the console as clean as you can. and then spray a thin coat of paint EVENLY (make yourself think like a spray machine. smile )

good luck man

stick on. The only way to get true carbon fiber dash is to get it custom done which is a shame. I think someone could make a lot of money making the real deal. I'd buy one!
