I went to put on the Kazuma exhaust and it didnt reach all the way to the header. I got the extended length one. Is it suposed to reach? I thought that this system replaced the cat, but it doesnt even reach far enough to do that. Does anyone know for sure that if it replaces the cat or not?? Mine doesnt. On the sites it says that its illigal. Is it illigal because it should replace the cat, or is it because it is 110 decibles loud?! I need someone with this exhaust to tell me what there set up is like also.

The kazuma is only supposed to reach right up to the cat, not replacing it. It is illegal because it is 110 dbs. If you want, you just have a muffler shop extend it and chop your cat off.

Its really hard to find someone to chop it off. I want to be able to bolt it on for emissions. Do you think that taking it off in the first place would make it sound like crap? Im also confused because some people told me that i wouldnt be able to pass emissions with it. Do they measure decible levels or something.

I'm not really sure what tests they do in emissions but I really doubt that the kazuma will fail your car. You should have it installed with a flange at the beginning so you can bolt it on and off.

Plus...there are 02 sensors on that cat that would make it hard for me to mess with. the engine light will come on.

have a flange put welded onto the end of the exhaust. then you can take off the kazuma whenever you want to, without having to go to the muffler shop and having it unwelded.

you are also going to want to replace the piping that is right after the cat with a resonator (it will be too loud if you dont). it will make it less loud (even though its still too loud to be legal) and it will also take away the raspy ricer sound and make it deeper.

it just goes all the way to the cat converter, you will regret having the cat removed...

dont take off the cat. if you get pulled over for having your exhaust being too loud (which is 100% possible, expecially with the kazuma) and they find out that you dont have a cat, you get fined a few thousand bucks. plus, it is there for a reason, which is to protect the air and prevent you from getting cancer. just leave it alone. rice
