Ok, a friend and I t-tapped all the speaker wires so I could install a new in-dash DVD player. Turns out I got a bad unit and now I'm waiting for them to send me another. In the mean time, my speakers have a popping/static noise to'em. Anyone have any idea at all as to what this might be and how to fix it?

Could be the signal the radio is sending...or most likely the speakers are blown

The speakers aren't blown because they work fine but every minute or so they click and pop.

does it make noise when the "bass" hits?
if so..then it could be the cone or the coils

Yes, it's when the bass hits. But everything was fine before we tapped all the wires.

Most likely when you tapped into the wires you left one of them with a bad connection. Go back through all of your cannections and I bet you will find one that is loose. This will cause your noise...

it is possible for a speaker to be blown and you wont know it at low levels, but as the excursion of the speaker increases at higher levels, it gets stuck on the windings
