Hey gang, I bouht my CAI used from someone. It is supposed to be an Injen CAI. I've had problems with my check engine light popping on all the time, so I was researching hose positioning today. I noticed that on the Injen CAI's in the gallery the MAF sensor was in a different spot than on mine. Also the pipe is bent a bit different. Here's my pics, compare those with gallery pics or with your own and let me know if I really have an Injen intake here.

Actually i've determined its a fake. There is no "Injen" embossed into it. Also look where the MAF is. Its in the bend part of the pipe, whereas in the Injen its before the bend closer to the throttle body frown

paid 160. I've had problems with it since I put it in. Can NOT get my CEL to stay off. Plus a few days a go a shop looked at it and said my throttle body wans't opening up all the way in lift like it should be. That's why I started looking at it more closely and realized its not even an Injen.

Unfortuneatly I bought it in early June, installed it in mid June, then had surgery in July and didn't drive it much after that. I had never seen another Injen CAI in person so I just didn't know. Dunno really what to do. Gonna have to buy a real Injen now this weekend.

Check your MAF's position. Is it before or atter the bend in the pipe?

Major thanks to SILVERCELIGT for pointing out that the only plug that should be left over is the light blue plug. I had the light blue plug plugged in and the black plug hanging free. smile

Well after I swapped the light blue cable with the black cable its been working fine heh. I guess what I want to know is do all Injen CAI's have the word "Injen" etched into the surface of the pipe? Cuz my pipe has no stickers, no engravings, nothing. Its just a smooth metal pipe shaped about right.

The confusion I had over photos is that the GT version and the GTs version are really different looking smile

The reason you MAF sensor is further away from the throttle body than Daytonacelica's is you have the 45 degrees sleeve on yours and he appears to have a straight one. That is not a problem. Second, the sticker or engraving is no big deal you have all of the sleeves that say injen and I can't see anyone going through the pain it would be to get those sleeves for an off brand intake then sell it. I think your fine. And you were right about the blue plug is the one to discard.
