Hey all. I have this annoying rattle that only happens when I accelerate. The rattle happens between 3k and 4.5k RPMs. The sound comes from the passenger side, and only during the 2 mentioned rpm bands. Sounds like it is coming from behind the dash. Could this be a heat shield or something?
I have a similar thing that happens to me...at almost exactly 2000 RMPs there's a kind of high pitched vibration noise from the trunk area...still haven't narrowed it down any further than the trunk area, someday I might figure out what it is.
After some research on another forum I found that it might be the hard A/C line that runs through the firewall. The bolt might be loose. It would explain the fact that the noise comes from the passenger side dash. I will check it today and tell ya'll whats up.
