Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Has your lift ever stop'd working?!

Ok my friend has a 2000 GTS. well its been some time now that he has had it and when he had it for these couple of years he beat the piss on it. Everyday it was redlined on pretty much 1st2nd-then shifted to 6th. well he car got all ruff'd up inside this and that, but he lift doesnt work. it hasn't worked for many many months. i told him to take it the dealer to have em look at it but he didnd't do it. and then when his car went in the other day he yelled at them to fix it and what not, well he got it back and he stil has no lift.


my question : will lift eventually not working after extensive use of it?!?!

is it fixable?

i think his lift bolts might be dead, search the forums for "lift bolt" but yea tell him to take to toyota since it should be under warrante still. although...your friend should NOT tell toyota that he redlines the engine.
