Is this a good mod for an 2001 GT auto? How much would it cost to install?

I was wondering about that myself. Never heard of anybody who has installed one of these, though.

If it works like it says it does it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than doin an auto-manual swap, I would consider it if i could see some pics and reviews

Not sure about the celi specs in the states but here all auto celicas are tiptronic so we can up and downshift using buttons on the steering wheel

it says that it is just plug and play so i'm guessing you can just hook it up to your tranny CPU, don't really know much about that though, looks interesting! smile

That is definitely well worth the money. thumbsup

Being able to adjust the firmness of the shifts would be pretty helpful, especially if you have a big power adder on your auto Celica, like N2O or forced induction. The firmer shifts will reduce friction, which cuts down on heat and prolongs the life of the transmission.

I wonder how you control all of these parameters? I wonder if you can use the ability to control the torque converter lock up to launch your car like you have a higher stall speed? Probably not, but that would be cool. smile

Will this be available for both the GT & GTS? Is it still a good idea to get a torque converter...will it work w/ this to help? Or should I just wait 'til this comes out? wtf
