TRD EXHAUST, worth it for me? pls. let me know

Hi guys. i know all i do is ask around this forum but i just don't know what i'm doing. basically i want more power in my car (around 155hp-165). i already have an Injen Short Ram. now after much consideration i'm planning to get a TRD exhaust, but after doing some research i have found people (even people form this forum) have beed PULLED OVER becuase a CHP has found it too loud. granted the TRD certificate comes with the exhaust but is the TRD THAT loud that it tips cops off to go around and check your Hood?? now i know what you all would say...listen to the TRD exhaust clip but listening to a clip is "vauge" in terms of what it would actually sound like in real life. i HAVE heard it on idle (below 1000 rpm)...i was wondering if it was annoying when cruising down a residential at 35-50. i'm plannig to get an exhaust at wctoyota..they quoted me at 470. anyplace i can get it cheaper? thanks guys rice

yea, well if you want a good exhaust my choice would be the TRD or Tanabe Super Racing Medallion. And the TRD exhaust is quite compared to all the other brands. I think that cops just pull you over for no reason cause they are cops. I don't have the TRD, so I can't really say how good it is.

hey ct, don't pay the dealer to install your exhaust unless you are worried about the warrenty.
otherwise you can do it yourself in about an 1 1/2 hours. and yes, 75 is about right

i got rid of my TRD for the TSRM because I thought the TRD was too quite.

dont get the TRD man, i bought a 2001 gts celi about 2 weeks ago, and it had a TRD on it, i didn't even know that it was a TRD until a week after because it didn't sound like an aftermarket exhaust. Its pretty quite man, i dont like it at all, i want a loud one, so i plan on getting a TSRM soon.

well i was inquiring about the TRD because i had heard how quiet it was. i know lots of people out here love the sound of a loud exhaust but i guess it just goes with the personality of the driver and your sense of taste. me, i'm more of a low profile guy so quiet is good. actually if i find that the TRD is too loud for me i'm considering selling it for 380 to anyone in th L.A. area. i just wanted more power with the car with minimal noise
