So, what do you guys recommend? or whatever you guy think is the best just gave me some suggestion.

1. 2 10 woofer w/ 1000watt amp.
2. 2 12 woofer w/1000 watt amp. Or|
3. 1 12 woofer 2/500 watt amp.

I dont care about money because I have a really good discount on it. What is the best that you guys recommend??? Please consider the weight too. Thanx in advance..

i'd get 2 10's and 1 12. 10's hit harder but 12's give you a deeper sound. what i plan on doing is making by own box like this \__/ and putting the tens on the outsides (\ and/) inverted and the 12 in the middle. and get a 1200 wat amp and a Cap.

Ok a 10" sub is gonna be able to hit a different bass octave that a 12"...because the specs are different...so it will sorta sound like an echo when the bass hits. The 10 will hit quick and the 12 will hit lower and not as responsive...

I think i put that in simple terms grin rofl thumbsup

Well I think you could mix them if you set them at different cross-overs points...of coarse you would kinda be wasting the 12 because it would'd be used very much

Yes you could...but in a celica the area is too small to even cross over anythign and you wouldn't get the imaging of the sub anyways thumbsdown

Here it is in plain terms:

If you play your shit loud, till it pounds the back of your brain, then you need two twelves, two very high power amps and a lot of dynamat

If you dont crank it up all that much and keep it at respectable levels, you can even go with one yes one REALLY REALLY good 10 " such as a sola baric from kicker or a W7 from JL Audio, with one powerful amp..

imaging? imaging is for front stage. a sub bass frequency is non directional. the wavelength of a subwoofer at 50hz is the same no matter the driver size, be it 10" or 18". it would be better if you stayed the same size driver though. if you are going to do the well as you diagram it would be better to do 3 10's. no i know MTX had a demo vehicle that had 2 12" woofers and 2 15" woofers. but when using different size drivers, you must use different amplifiers, and cut them off at different frequencies. ie set the 10's for like 250hz and the 12 at around 80hz. if you did not do that then the bass would be muddy as hell, and overpowering. also, when using multiple woofers, use the same box design, ie dont use the 10s in a sealed box while using the 12 in a ported. that would fuck it all up. i have heard 3JL8's that i swore was a 15 it was in a surburban. but also with all this bass you want, make sure you improve the midbass also. get some really good 6.5 midbass drivers.

agreed, a 10 inch w7 with a nice amp is compared to 2 lightning audio 12 inches with a a 600s rockford amp eek

Thank you so much guys! Well, after reading all the advice, I will probably get 2 10 woofer, one 1000watt amp or 800amp, and 2 pair of speaker. Is this a good setup? Whats the best kind that I can get??? And anyhow, I heard that putting the speaker in the Celica is really hard work. You have to drill the stock speaker out. I would let a professional do it but afraid that they will not do it right. I dont want all the rattling noise coming from the door. What do you guys think??

Guys, just to let you know I ended up getting 2 10 Punch HE2 DVC Subwoofer with 400 watts RMS/800 peak on each subwoofer (Rockford Fosqate) + Rockford fosqate amplifier 1500 watts + box + 2 door kits dynamat. With installation and insure it cost well over $900. I want to buy 2 pair of speaker + a head unit but it have to wait. So what do you guy think of this setup????????

thats a killer SPL combo. mate of mines got 2 12" rockfords in his civic. the cabin a little bigger in that and its an insane setup. can hear him coming down the street! so judging from that and the fact that thumbsup our cars are smaller, 2 10s would be just as madd!
