ok just got my new gauges.. installing now.. is there a way to change the color of the needle>? dunno where i read it but can you put nailpolish remover on them and make them clear?

yes get a cotton ball put on nail polish remover, have a VERY wet rag next to you when you do this, alright rub the needle with the nail polish remover and then QUICKLY take the wet rag and wash it down, otherwise it will get all white ...trust me...

using nail polish remover on them will only make the needles clear and take away the orange color...
they will still light up orange, you have to replace the LED behind them to get them to light up another color.

got cha.. thanx... didn't even wanna try it... ok gauges installed good woo hoo my first electrical install... to anyone with the el gauges what is the black button supposed to do? the green/blue one is dimmer but the black isnt doin anything... confused

ya, i had the same problem...actually it's not a problem i'm just stupid. hold down the dimmer button while you push the other one. anyways, some combination of holding and pushing will result in changing the colors. hope that helps! smile

you need to use the strong nail polish remover and the only part that has orange on it is underneath the needle...
you need to take the needle off.

careful with the nail polish remover. wt i heard is that if you use too much or leave it on too long it'll melt or something...so yea...not sure but be careful anyway!!
